Daniel Penck studied Sinology and Economics at the University of Xiamen and the University of Hamburg. Born in New Zealand, Daniel grew up bilingually and is moreover fluent in both spoken and written Chinese. He learnt Mandarin from Germany’s top Chinese lecturers who later employed him as a Chinese language teacher. Due to his international background and numerous long stays abroad Daniel is highly competent on an intercultural level.
Already in the early stages of his life, Daniel gained work experience in various roles acting between China and Germany. He served as an adviser to German companies during their negotiations in China and he accompanied Chinese top managers whilst working in Germany. He also succeeded in building up a network within Chinese professional football whilst working for Goal2China.
As consultant at Personalglobal his focus lies in advising international companies on their business with China, especially in questions of recruitment and retention.
